HD MP3 player with AV-OUT?

Oct 16, 2005 3:22AM PDT

Hey all,

Perhaps what im looking for doesnt even exsist(yet)?

Im looking for a decent sized portable mp3 player, preferably 20gb or higher.

Now all i want when im on the move, is to be able to listen back to my mp3's - but i would also like the player to act as an external hard drive that keeps various types of files. So far ive been looking at things like the CREATIVE LABS ZEN XTRA 40GB.

What i want to know is, are there any devices like this that also feature an AV-OUT?

I would love to be able to store movies on my mp3 player and view them back on any TV - but i dont want to shell out the extra bucks just so i can also view them on the move with a color screen etc etc.

Hope thats not too hard to understand lol,

Thanks,
Steve.

Hold Everything
Now you can put all your music in your pocket and still have room for, well, practically everything else. Catch up on your reading with audiobooks. Browse your memories with photo slideshows, complete with music. Watch video podcasts, music videos and your favorite TV shows. Consult your calendar or look up an email address. Even check the time in another city or time your fastest lap. The new iPod keeps it all close at hand.

...

Add an optional audio cable to play music from the iPod to your home stereo or use an optional S-video cable with iPod to play VJ on your TV.

Yea,

Ipods apparently dont support WMA files what with them being windows based. Thats a major downside for me as the bulk of my music collection is wma and not mp3 - i can store far more in a smaller space this way. Anyway, its just personal preference.

Also - I dont fancy paying for TV shows that are supposed to be free. Im not an iTunes fan. I download my tunes free. Again - this is my own personal preference.
