Resolved Question

HD monitor 1920x1080p

Aug 23, 2011 5:11AM PDT

Hi everyone, I need your help.

I just bought a Viewsoinc VX2453mh LED that is a 1920x1080p to watch movies. The highest resolution in my desktop is 1280x1024. How do I get that to what I need? I am thinking a new video card but that is an unexpected expense that I do not have the surplus cash. Any other valid thoughts? Thanks.

A lot of variables to juggle.

Could be a video driver or the monitor driver. I see the Viewsonic has a driver titled "Standard Monitor Driver Signed WinXP" but your post did not reveal if you installed that.

I can't tell where that text came from. But I did write that Viewsonic has the driver for the monitor. It seems that you would know if you installed that.
