Question

HBO Go problem on LG smart TV

Aug 3, 2013 4:16PM PDT

Hello,
I was using HBO GO on my lg smart tv. Yesterday my operator changed my account so I got new TV PIN. I can not login with this PIN because the app says this device is already used by someone else. Call with the operator they said I do not have any device information on server so the problem is in my TV. Then I tried uninstalling, installing HBO Go. Even TV Factory reset did not help.
My question is how LG Smart Tv stores application information like this and how to delete is?

But if your operator changed something, isn't this a problem for this operator?

having two apartments with two cable tv accounts

The operator can not handle every TV model and software I guess - they care only about HBO Go working trough the browser on my laptop and they handled this and they provide me with DTV access to HBO programs.
Not trying to do anything illegal here. I am not using one account on two devices but two accounts on one device. Both accounts are mine but I have only one TV.
Actually I have spend a day with the suport over phone and no one can hep me. All I get is -we have deleted all of your old account information on servers.
That's why I suppose the tv stores some "hidden" information somewhere or the HBO application is very very smart and stores it's own settings online based on TV serial number or something like this.
My TV is 42LM640S
My operator is Blizoo.bg (I guess operator is not relevant in this question)

Maybe the PIN is for one device?

Keep in mind that HBO or the operator must deal with this. That is, and I'm guessing here is that the PIN was used for the laptop and then you went to the TV. Since the laptop used up the service then it's taken up the services that the PIN offered and you'll need more PINs.
