Having trouble downloading video from my Sony HDR -SR10

by CYeshion / November 7, 2008 2:56 AM PST

I can easily transfer all videos from my camera to my Dell T5400, but there is no sound upon playback from the computer. My ausio drivers are all working and there is no problem with MP3 playback or other sounds.

Did you install the software from Sony?

It has a codec that's needed.

I did and it crashed windows XP...I got a fatal blue screen

I had to re-install my OS. I don't want to do that again so I was hoping there was another way. Perhaps the problem is related to the Roxio compatability issues with the Sony Software but I don't want to lose Roxio Creator.

At least we know why no sound now.

Sorry but you'll have to ask Sony how to install the CODEC without using their software.
