I had recently purchased a Compaq Presario Notebook C751NR and upgraded the RAM from 1GB to 2GB. Everything was fine for the 1st two months but I recently had numerous crashes with the message IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. I was told that this was a hardware issue and I tried switching the RAM. When I purchased the RAM I upgraded a second laptop as well so I just switched the RAM out for the other chips and my laptop has been fine once again. I am just wondering if you guys think that the RAM just went bad or what my be the cause. Here are the specs, please let me know what you think. Notebook is a Compaq C751NR. 1.6 Dual Core Processor. The RAM originally installed was 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 and upgraded to 2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 128X64. If there is additional info needed to answer feel free to ask.
