Having problems with wifi on gaming system please help?

I've got a new 1 gig connection but when I connect my Playstation to the wifi I only get 13 Mbps download and 3 upload. My router is a nighthawk R7500. I need help.

1. 20 feet line of sight to the router.
2. Try 802.11g mode.
3. Forget WiFi and get wired.

That's quite norma, for ADSL for example. What speed does your ISP offer for subscription?

My download on my laptop hardline is 950mbps. And upload is 842

Many game systems use 10 megabit interfaces. You are not seeing anything wrong in my opinion. That's plenty for games and videos. Example from Netflix: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/306

10 would be twice what's needed for HD.
