Having problem with a "pop-up window" "CiD:"

This pop-up comes up every 5 minutes or so. It always starts out with
"CiD: with different extension's" I have Norton, Windows Defender,
Ad-Aware,Spyware Blaster. Maybe I don't have them set-up right. I'm
not a newbie, nor a Techie. But could really use some help.

Re: CiD Pop-Up

rmblnrd..

I see you posted your problem at two of our forums. One of which, someone has responded to. Posting at two forums, tends to duplicate work and also create confusion.

In addition to what has already been suggested, I would suggest scanning with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. It can be downloaded from here or (directly) from here. Save it to your desktop.

Double-click on the mbam-setup.exe, making sure to "Check for Updates" afterwards. Run a Quick Scan. After the scan completes, click OK and Show Results . Make sure everything is checked, before clicking Remove Selected. Reboot to complete the disinfection process.

You might also want to see if Gamevance is listed in Add/Remove. Additionally, have a look in the Task Manager, and see if gamevance32.exe and/or gvun.exe is listed. If so, "end the process", prior to scanning with MBAM.

Best of luck..
Carol
