Having Mac Issues with WoozyFly

Nov 13, 2007 1:12AM PST

I'm trying to set up my webcam to stream my friend's band on WoozyFly and I can't get it to work with the software. Unfortunately, having a built-in webcam would be ideal but of course I bought my comp right before they started coming with built-in webcams.

Here's the link, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:

Which webcam are you trying to use?

How are you connecting?

I watched several of the posted videos in different places around the site and none look like webcams were used to capture the video... or the audio, for that matter.

Can you provide a little more detail on what it is you are trying to use to capture this video and audio, editing and posting? Or maybe just what you think you want to do and what sort of quality you are expecting (i.e., can you provide a specific link?) The link you provided is to the main woozyfly space - and I don't see anywhere that does "streaming live"... There is a one-liner that says "set up your own web show", but certainly nothing else to back that up... and "Live at the Loft" does not look live to me... maybe recorded live, but not live streaming...

Just from a practical perspective, I do not think streaming live (unless maybe it is an interview) is a good idea... I would suggest taping them, editing and uploading... And... video is only a portion of the activity - audio will be a huge portion... and a webcam mic will be pretty hard pressed to keep up.
