But a rewind. Most routers at their defaults just work. I see folk dive in and start tweaking and cause such problems. I don't know your router or what you changed.
And it's not port 80 today. Read https://www.google.com/#q=https+port shows it to be 443.
Bob
I need to open up and allow Port 80. I have the port forwarded in my router, and allowed in the windows firewall.
I am running a fresh install in Win8 with nothing else installed yet except Chrome and VLC.
Completely turning off the windows firewall also does not help.
Here is the kicker: This is only an issue when connected via LAN. If I plug USB Wireless Adapter and unplug the ethernet then everything works fine.
If I'm on LAN, then none of the ports are open. This has been driving me crazy! Any one have any ideas?
