General discussion

Have you ever tried this, and does it work?

Hi everyone I'm new here and this is my first time to post a query. My question is if I use an HDMI cable to my Sony BRAVIA from my blu-ray player, can I use the composite out (video out) of my BRAVIA using a regular A/V cable so that I can put it on another TV? oh, by the way my Blu-ray player is Sony BDP-S1E and BDP-S300. Thanks in advance.

(NT) composite ranks as the lowest quality video connector.

This is kind of unusual...

a video output connection from a TV? If this is what it is then it should work. Obviously this tv is not in the same room, which means you will need a looong cable (and that has it's drawback).

Maybe there is an wireless device available for for such (just thinking out loud).

If you watch a Blu-ray movie, will the TV even trasmit the 1080p signal via composite or will the TV downconvert the signal to 480i? I'm pretty sure it won't work because the TV will realize the composite connection doesn't have the required bandwith to sustain the 1080p trasmission.

but it should not work, If you select any res other then 480i the player should disable any connection other then component or HDMI.

good luck
