General discussion

"Have you checked your Console Log lately", he asked.

..."uh, no. What for?" Well, apparently for things like what I found. I've got the same bit of commands (or whatever they are) going over and over...(generating thousands of lines in the log). I've isolated the repeating section. My system seems to be running fine...other than the messages. But, I have to imagine this is taking resources away from me. Any ideas of what they are and what I can do to stop this?

same headache msg stops ONLY when Vista is up on local net

In reply to: logs

the MAC "uninenet...restart::receiver..." messages stop only when the PC Vista is alive on my local switch network, with ADSL box, printer/scan and another old PC.
I tried a lot of change on both G4 10.5.8 and Home Vista, around their ADSL/access/sharing/IP/SMB/CUPS... and Net parms : no result (que nib!).
