have win xp , cant find dictionary, chet have free ver, ?

I was unable to find dictionary in my win xp home media edition, Since chet e mails me free various software downloads.. Does Cnet have a free desktop download version that will give me various ways word can be used, and spell check.? since many my programs microsoft office hasspeel check , What I need is when to look up word and its useage. thats why want free dictionary to look up word usage and correct spelling. and it be free and a short cut ne put on desktop.
I have win xp media edition ver with updates 123, ram 1 gig , H/D 120. broadband and or known DLS e mail bookmark free download to my regestered e mail and or send bookmark to Rocket11213@Gmail.com. if unable to find regestered hm e mail address, which should show. if not I given a aternative e mail to send download. which I am sure Cnet has, I just want to be sure and get tech advised and selection. thank you

Just use Wikpedia, that should work.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
