I have an iPod Touch. It does come with a dock adapter, so I would think it should work, given that you would use that on their universal charging dock. And I've been charging mine with the same Apple USB power adapter that I bought along with my old iPod Mini back in 2004, which I've also used to charge later models (2nd gen Nano and 5.5 Gen iPod Video). The only thing that seems to be different with the newer power adapter is that it is smaller. Even the USB cable that comes with the touch is a little smaller. Not the cable itself, but the ends that plug into your computer and the Touch. And I still use my old cable with my Touch.
I had bought my first ipod, the iPod video, in Oct. of 2006 and I bought the Apple universal charging dock and the Apple USB power adapter to go with it in December of 2006. I was thinking of getting the iPod touch in December for my birthday so I recently checked out Apple's site and I see they no longer advertise the same charging dock and power adapter I use. I was hoping that I didn't have to buy new charging accessories since the iPod touch is already expensive.
Does anyone know if the Ipod touch is compatible with the 2006 model universal charging dock and the power adapter of the same year?
