If the flash stick was created proper plug it into the pc.
Enter the bios and set the flash stick as first in the boot order.
Reboot.
I have OS on USB. I can only get into my laptop on safe mode. I can't connect to internet on it. The CD/DVD reader does not work due to former damage to computer. I formated the USB stick and then did as described to me below - (I have had to start this new thread as the laptop I am using to solve this also has problems and will sometimes not let me reply on threads)
Here is what I have done after formatting the USB stick:
Instead, you use the Windows Media Creation Tool to download the ISO to your computer, then allow the Creation Tool to then burn the ISO image to your flash drive/stick or to a DVD. The ISO isn't actually "copied" to the flash drive/stick, but instead the Creation Tool extracts the files from within the ISO and then copies them to the stick. In that way, the files that are copied to the flash drive/stick are then bootable on your computer and should allow the OS to be installed on your computer.
Hope this helps.

How do I now get this onto the laptop? What options do I choose as from the start up message which says 'preparing automatic repair' and then 'diagnosing your PC'. I have tried to do it in safe mode but can't work out how. Will it let me install in safe mode?
Many thanks for your help
