Have dialup Internet but can not receive incoming calls

Mar 21, 2005 6:48AM PST

Hi, I have been with this company for a couple years already until I decided to try a free 3 months trial with High Speed. At the end I uninstalled it and went back to my regular Dialup Connection getting the problem of not getting incoming calls eventhough my settings for "Disable Call Waiting" are right. I tried uninstalling the program several times but still can not get it fix. It is very frustacting to be Surfing the net and wondering if somebody is calling, please, help me. Thank You.

Recieving calls

Unless you have a V.92 modem with the software and an Isp that supports it you can't recieve calls while online with a single phone line. The other option which works perfectly is a device called Catch a Call available at Radio shack and online about $40 and you must have call waiting through your telco

recieving calls

Hi

I have creative Blaster v.92 modems with software supplied with modem.
I also have call waiting from telco

My ISP does not support v.92 but the calls are transfered to my phone. The only drawback is that the modem will not stay connected for a period of time while the phone is in use.
