Have cable broadband but want dialup for backup. Can you ...

I have highspeed through Charter and I have aol dial up as a back up when the highspeed modem goes down but the aol is to expensive to have just as a backup. Can someone reccomend a good but cheap dial up service or are they really full of bugs and popups? Would I be better off sticking with aol dial up? I have not had problems with aol it's just the price thats killing me.

Here's why. Verizon DSL offers a dialup option for 5 bucks a month.
