Sometimes we tend to overlook the meanings of our Holidays as we celebrate, so it was nice that you included a bit of a reminder:
"The Workingmen's Holiday - 1st celebrated 9/5/1882
New York City, Initiated by the Central Labor Union."

Labor Day Weekend is our biggest holiday around here. We have our rodeo/fair/carnival and then school starts directly after it's all over (they cannot start before the fair as the great majority of our kids are part of FFA or 4H).

Anyway, I spent 7 hours out there with my youngest yesterday!! MyGawd was I exhausted by the end of it! But he was having a wonderful time. Happy We have a barbeque to attend today, tomorrow we have our parade (my youngest is in it with his Cub Scout pack), then my folks go out with us and we look at all the exhibits and have fair food for the last time until next year Wink

Take care, y'all,
and, like Mary Kay said,
have a fun and safe holiday,
