for myself anyway, the whole damn thing - "V's" and "P's" and Broadway shows - has made a mockery of the very thing the originating idea was attempting to help prevent; that being violence toward women. ![]()
I had found it ridiculous and embarrassing as a woman that this was supposed to be something to help raise awareness to protect those of my gender. I heard more in the way of laughter and ridicule as a response.
It's too bad - they had good intentions, but now it has backfired in the form of parody and satire. They couldn't have been surprised that this would happen. ![]()

V-Day meets P-Day on campus.
I really don't get how talking vaginas does anything to advance the cause of abused women -- which was the original intent of V-day (opposing violence against women).
