Gomer looks very smart - the sort of guy I would expect to run for President - the other one looks like a hobo in comparison :)) NT

Given the choice between the two of them, I'd vote for Gomer, lol.

Hi, DavE.

But isn't he gay?

Jim Neighbors was, but "Gomer" wasn't.

Still, if there were only two choices I'd rather vote for a gay Gomer than an "internationalist" Kerry.

In these times, the leftist preference for gays over straights and "internationalism" over national security just confounds me. Don't you realize that there would be no secure place to voice these abberant views without a secure homeland under sane administration? The right is your friend Dave. Without its strength the left would be reduced to silence because (1) nobody else would tolerate the noise that comes from the left, and (2) the left is too hopelessly weak to defend itself without the help and strength of the right.

Jim Nabors is still alive and presumably still gay.

I wouldn't describe what's going on now as a "preference" for gays over straights. Equal rights are just that, equal. Not better.

Bilko would rather have Gomer.
