Still, if there were only two choices I'd rather vote for a gay Gomer than an "internationalist" Kerry.
In these times, the leftist preference for gays over straights and "internationalism" over national security just confounds me. Don't you realize that there would be no secure place to voice these abberant views without a secure homeland under sane administration? The right is your friend Dave. Without its strength the left would be reduced to silence because (1) nobody else would tolerate the noise that comes from the left, and (2) the left is too hopelessly weak to defend itself without the help and strength of the right.

I wouldn't describe what's going on now as a "preference" for gays over straights. Equal rights are just that, equal. Not better.
