So the easy solution is to upgrade (can be done only via Windows Anytime Upgrade) to Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate and then use the XP mode. See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

I am a long term user of HG software, most recently Advanced Presentations 3.0. I have enjoyed the functionality of displaying data in the same program that is used for generating drawings, presentations etc. This software will not start in Windows 7. What is a good alternative besides cutting and pasting Excel graphs into PowerPoint presentations?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Thanks. This opened my eyes to the power of Win7 and I was actually able to use Win7 Starter without upgrading to fix the problem. This was a most helpful reply!
I, too, am a long time user of Harvard Graphics. Will the solution to your problem also allow Harvard to work with Office 2007? I use Windows XP with Office 2003, but when I installed Windows 2007, the automatic links I had with Excel and Word would not work. so I had to reinsatll Office 2003.
