Question

Hardware acceleration lagging PC

Mar 19, 2018 6:32AM PDT

Hello,
I just turned off hardware acceleration in Chrome and youtube is now working fine. It wasn't working before. Also Discord seemed to lag before, but when I turned of hardware acceleration here it started to run just fine. How can something like hardware acceleration cause this PC to lag.
My GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070
Thank you for answers

The issue of Chrome and hardware acceleration is well done.

It doesn't work for everyone. There are longer discussions so I'll stop here.

But what about discord and other apps like Google Earth???

I don't see that question at the first post.

We know Chrome sometimes works better without hardware acceleration. This is a well done topic which I only note and then stop.

If you feel the other apps work better without hardware acceleration then I'm not surprised and could do some research again but given all the prior discussions there's nothing new to add here. Why this is is again well done. Folk that just encounter it are going to feel shortchanged.
