harddrive recognized but not available in disk management

by Becks23 / October 9, 2005 8:36 PM PDT

I have an iaudio X5L which is recognized by my computer when I plug it (the bubbles in the bottom right appear). However, it doesn't show up in my Windows Exlporer/My Computer. I did some research and thought it was just a matter of assigning a drive letter. However it doesn't show up in the disk management profile.

In the hardware profile, I can see it under the Harddrive tab along with my two other HD's.

My USB 2.0 controller is an upgrade from 1.1 ... I thought maybe it was an issue of not enough juice so I bought a D-Link USB Hub with AC adapter... still no dice.

-i upgrade motherboard drivers
-no X5L drivers to my knowledge
-canon camera connects fine

In Device Manager? I have had trouble with certain USB devices wanting a specific drive letter and I have had to change other device drive letters first before the uncooperating device would appear. . . Hope it helps

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
