1. Delete all files and folders from that drive using Windows Explorer.
2. Delete all partitions from that drive using Windows disk manager.
3. Make one new partition on it.
4. Use ccleaner's (from piriform) wipe free space function to wipe all free space (that's the whole disk, apart from what making the partition filled on it).
I need to aquire software that i can run while on my windows OS that can whipe out a hard drive while the hard drive is plugged into the pc/laptop by via usb, I have tryed using dban and wipe drive professtional but it does not work that way. does anyone know of free software i could use to whipe out the adjacent software thats plugged up to the usb of the pc/laptop??
