Hard to believe the beautiful weather we are having this week....

Feb 19, 2004 10:45PM PST

in and around San Antonio. It has been in the 70's F. all this week, sun shining, with overnight low's in the 40'sF. Gassed up my boat yesterday and right now wife and I leaving the house to go fishing. Current temp is 61F (8:45AM CST) and expected to hit 79F...wow!

Last week it was sleet here, and snow flakes just 30 miles north.

We are close to 50 today and should get above that. Yesterday we had over 55 officially, but when I checked my outside thermometer (accurate tube type) it read 60, and that was in the shade, under eave of house.

Follow-up....

Well, I've always considered myself a very good fisherman, with lots of experience. Hummmpt, I caught 1 fish and wife caught 7. They were White Bass which are 'running' this time of year. All were pretty large for White Bass (which for you northern folks look like Striper Bass but slightly smaller). Well, we only trolled the 4 hours we were on the water. Upon docking another fisherman gave us nine more fish which with the ice packing filled up my large fish ice chest. Now today I'll be spending some time with the fillet knife, as wife won't eat fish on the bone (and Gee they are hers). Wink

When you're married, the guy cleans it, the woman hopefully cooks it.

That's amazing, we got none of it, just beautiful sunny weather.

I heard there was snow in Ocean City though, I saw a report about them clearing it from the boardwalk. They also showed snow on the beach all the way to the waterline, something that looked very strange to me.
