Hard reset of samsung i8262

another way to hard reset Samsung Core i8262 other than pressing home+volume up+power???

About the only extra step I used

Was to remove the SIM, memory card and battery for the reset.

After a minute I slip the fully charged battery back in and reset.

You didn't get the timing just right. Let others try it for you and does the volume up/down work OK?
