Hard drive won't stop churning!

Mar 27, 2005 1:46PM PST

I've noticed my computer will not 'rest' after starting up for the past several weeks. My hard drive keeps going in 1-2 second spurts & will not be silent.

I have run the defragmenter, scandisk, used ad-aware & spybot to clean up any pests - all to no avail. I have not put any new programs on & my C drive is 2/3 full.

Do I need to worry? I just don't want my computer to crash & would like to know if I should be doing something before it's too late...
