30 Gbyte Hard drive is really insufficient for XP. You can use it if you want, but you will have to reformat it. I suggest that you get a larger Hard Drive if you can afford it. IDE drives are cheap. CDW or Newegg or others can help you for a small amout of money you can get an 80 Gbyte or larger drive. I use 250 or 200 Gbyte and I have almost 26 Gbyte on them. I hope this helps.

30GB space will be fine for XP. I ran it on 11GB too.

That 2GB volume means the partition was likely made with DOS. Next time use XP's installer to remove the partition and create a new one of proper size.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
