Hard Drive set up. Will it work?

Hello,

I have ordered all the componets to build a new computer system. I have an old system that uses XP HE SP2 with a 80 gb hdd. When I build my new system I want to copy my 80 Gb drive to a new 250 gb eide hdd that I have and install the 250 gb drive on the new system to run XP. Then install Vista Home Premium 64 bit on one of my 2 new 500 gb sata hdds for a dual boot system. Will this set up work? The 2nd 500 gb drive is for back up only. Will RAID 1 work for the two sata drives only? system specs: EVGA nforce 780i SLI 775 MB, C2 Q6700 CPU, 2

Since XP was installed in one computer, moving it to another computer will cause XP to fail.

How do I get around that? I no longer have the CD that came with my computer. It's six years old but has been upgraded a bit. I still have the product key though.

Thanks

J

Did you register your XP? If so, order the cheap replacement
