This means the drive is failing. When you replace the drive the failure and problems should go away.
Recently, I reformatted my harddrive and reinstalled XP Pro. Since the reformat when I boot my machine the BIOS screen flashes as normal then after that, nothing. If I reboot, then enter the BIOS and exit without change then my computer will show this error message after exiting the BIOS: "SMART Failure Predicated on Hard Disk 0. Press F1 to continue"
Once it continues it boots up normally. Once it is up I have no problems. I tried to physically remove the harddrive and reinsert it. I also flashed my BIOS. None of these worked. Please advise.
