Question

Hard drive problem

Sep 11, 2014 6:54AM PDT

The old hard drive on my Dell Latitude laptop crashed so I installed a new one. Diagnostics say it's there and it running but when I reboot I get "no boot sector on internal hard drive." Please help me on this. Thanks.

Apparently, it's empty. Use the recovery disks you made to reinstall Windows. If you don't have recovery disks (some people forgot to make them) contact Dell customer services and order them.
It's not free. It's much cheaper than a new laptop, but -admittedly - more expensive than a Linux disk.
