I recently had to reinstall XP and used the System Restore function. I used the 'middle way', which creates a ghost copy of my current drive to allow me to access my old files with the newly restored XP.
I've done this procedure before, but for some reason this time part of the backup - My Documents in fact - is inaccessible. I've had to run a restore utility to get to all of my files in there, but XP still refuses to allow me to enter the folder. When I try to it states:
"... is not accessible. Access is denied".
I've got all my worked backed up on a separate drive, and can now happily delete the image (folder) but XP won't let me.
Any ideas? Is there any software that can debug this, assuming that's the problem? Or should I go for a full reinstall now?
Thanks in advance.
