Hard drive has invalid partition table

Jun 10, 2005 12:04AM PDT

I was in process of installing BOOT MAGIC in my active partition when the power failed. Upon restart I got message "Invalid Partition Table 04" and couldn't access hard drive. Ended up buying new hard drive (bigger of course) and reinstalling Windows XP SP2. Luckily I had backups of most files.

Symantic, now owner of Power Quest product, wasn't of any help. I install drive on old computer but its Windows98 and wouldn't reconize NTFS drive.

I put the drive in an external case and connected it to my WindowsXP computer via USB. This system wouldn't reconize drive either.

Is there a disk utility I can use to correct Partition Table error. Can't use fdisk of course since drive is available ot operating system.
