My friend likes to leave his computer on all the time, and after long periods of innactivity (20 hours for example), when you try to wake it back up, it hangs on the screensaver or goes to the desktop and hangs on the mouse moving around or is very very very slow. Is there some power setting or hard drive setting which would help his unit stop doing this? I have already checked 'turn off : never' for most of the power security settings, so I don't know. The heat in the unit starts off at around 80 degrees according to the thermometer and after long periods gets up into the low 90's. Could the heat be an issue? I have 2 exhaust fans blowing air in and air out the top, so I think its more hardware related. Any help appreciated and thanks in advance. I also have turned off ' hibernate ' and the hard drive is told not to turn off : never.
