Hard Drive and Sound Problems

Dec 5, 2012 4:09AM PST

My desktop pc has been having these problems for awhile. Every time my restart my pc, my priority HD is changed so I have to go into my Bios and change it to the drive with my OS. It really doesn't bother me much but if you could help find a solution that would be great.

The sound problem only happens when I play a certain type of game. When playing the game every once in awhile all the sound will get distorted. You can hear everything but it's very staticy. This has been getting very annoying and if you guys could help me with this also would be much appreciated.

What drive letter does you HD need to be? What are you changing from and to in the BIOS. What motherboard do you have. Re the sound problem, did it just start when you installed the game? If the latter, I'd check with the game's manufacturer. What version of Windows are you running? Is the game compatible with your game?

Is your clock losing time? I ask because if you have a worn out CMOS battery, that could explain why you have to repeatedly change your boot sequence, and can easily be remedied with a cheap battery replacement.
