Hard Drive

Hi Anybody that can help installed second hard drive intel pentium 4 running windows XP PRO bios recognises the drive but not windows the drive is the same as the as the main drive set jumpers correctely its a SATA drive by the way have already performed this operation before no prob Thanks Martin

Did you partition or format the drive ???

Start
Settings
Admin Tools
Computer Management
Disk Management

Click on the new device and you should be able to set up (partition and format) the drive.

It Could Be Drivers

It could be a # of solutions, One that comes to mind is drivers.
I had a problem with my WD 74 raptor 10,000 rpm drive, until I got the correct drivers in it did not work.
Once the correct drivers were in I had know problems with my raptor drive.
Sometimes Windows drivers do not work for some hardware on certain systems.
