Hard Disk Partition on Windows XP

Apr 30, 2005 11:06AM PDT

Hi All,

Is it possible to partition the HDD without formatting it. I mean, I've a 40GB disk. And, I want to create another partition in it. But dont find anyway to do this.

I know softwares like Partition Magic and others. But, they create a logical partition. What I believe is physically there is only one partion, when we use such softwares. Which essentially does not make 2 separate partitions and to protect data of one to the another one.

The method of deleting the partition and formatting it with Windows XP cd is quite a deal.

Please let me know there is a way to do this.

Thanks,
Kaushal
