When the IEv5.02 and Win98FE is being used -- have for years now -- and a CNET forum page is loading, IE remains busy with the above entry in the Status Bar for quite some time. I believe this anomaly began happening with the latest CNET forum software fixes.

TIF - empty; No "Host" file; No other application open and running besides MailWasher Pro v4.01; 68% resources available; ASUS MB w/384MB of RAM and oodles of drive space.

Thanks Jonah.

I was aware of that thread grouping when it first began - Tony and her yellow - and was amazed that the only solutions were for workarounds and nothing from CNET personnel who has completely ignored the situation. Nice that everyone else pitched in their strategy though. I thought all the former forum software had problems but I think that was simply because we had someone who could and would get it fixed and didn't mind sharing their information with us -- not now however.

I've used cable for moons and this loading problem only appears when at the forums. Can you imagine this situation if doing genealogy and loading old Census forms and such if I had a software problem on my computer? Believe me when I say that I use any and all tools and test sites available to insure the problem isn't the system.

I guess we'll have to live with it.

Thanks again.
