Does anyone know, if I buy a handheld pda with GPS, that I can use this overseas?

I don't have the Garmin IQue M5 yet but just came back from making two days of sales calls in car with a co-worker that had the M5. I had rented Hertz Neverlost and the M5 has more GPS details like local gas station or places to eat. They have maps for Europe and it comes with USA. You can even find it cheaper on line. It was turn for turn as good as the Neverlost and half the price with the Pocket PC OS.
