Handbrake on MacBook Pro w/ Core 2 Duo

Feb 20, 2010 12:47PM PST

I am using a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo and I recently downloaded Handbrake (64 bit) to encode DVD's. I also use the VLC media player. I was trying to rip a DVD and when it brought up the files in handbrake it had an error with the VLC saying it was not 64bit compatible. Do these 2 programs not work well together or is there something else I should try along with the handbrake?

Try putting the 64 bit error message into google.

I can't look for you since the error message was mangled in your post.

Handbrake can not rip encrypted DVD. If your DVD is a protected one, I guess that's the reason why the two program can not be compatiable with each other.

You can try this DVD ripper on http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-ripper-platinum.html#205, which support ripping any DVDs for personal use only.

Hope this could be helpful.
