Halft picture Plasma is blak (right side) good sound

by road star / August 12, 2010 6:21 AM PDT

My Plasma MODEL CODE: 4232X/XAA experienced intermittent black-out the right side of picture and finally remain black. After three week of electrical disengage, I connect and intermittent picture back and fort of the right side of picture and Alleluia)is a miracle its back again. But not to much time, in 3 minutes the right side go black again and remain black. I call to Samsung local service, they said if the plasma have more than 3 years its better replaced for a new one because is to expensive the repair of this unit. This unit cost about $2,400.00????????

road star,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue. While everyone, like the tech you spoke to, is entitled to their own opinion, it's likely that the set can be repaired. If you want to pursue that option, you can call 800-SAMSUNG to have a service tech assigned to inspect the unit.

I verify in the forum and don't see any issue like this. By your experience what part of the systems may fault? The video module of what.

The cost plus or minor to repair this unit

road star,

I don't know. That would have to be determined by a technician. I can't guess at something I'm unable to inspect.

road star,

I don't have prices. You may want to check with the Samsungparts.com website or call them at 800-627-4368. They're not very cheap (I do know that), but they may be able to give you a more exact cost.
