H20 SV mini ipod vs MP3?

Jul 17, 2005 12:27PM PDT

I have been trying to figure out what is the best way to hear music while swimming. Nothing is simple!

Apple sells a housing unit (Otterbox) w/o any headphones, H20 sells a full housing unit w/earphones but no clip (must buy separate arm band or waist band). Swimman has earphones for $100. They also have MP3 players which are tiny, but you cannot control anything except volume.

I find all of this confusing. Which is the best unit to use? Since no complete unit can be bought retail it seems, it is a matter of trail and error, but hard to compare. Any advice? From what I am reading, the sound quality in the earphones seem to be what people are complaining about. Help!
