Guess the Dictator and/or Television Sit-Com Character

Mar 7, 2004 1:16AM PST

This is really neat!!

Here are the rules: Pretend to be a dictator or television sitcom character. I'll try to guess who you are by asking simple yes/no questions. If you're not sure of the answer to a question, answer "No". If you forgot who you were pretending to be, go take a nap, you're obviously under too much stress. Also, drink plenty of fluids.

Re: Guess Dictator and/or Television Sit-Com Character -- What an odd combo!

Hi, Rosalie.

One of the interesting things about it is the program learns as it goes. I've often wondered about the odd juxtaposition, though -- and your "and/or" made me wonder even more. Please name a dictator who was also a sitcom character! (Actually, I just though of one, on a very small scale...)

Not my title, Dave, it's c/p. I also wondered about the combo and

especially the and/or. To me it seems like History Characters would be more appropriate than Dictators. I'm assuming the author had programed dictators into his answer producing machine because they were the easiest to identify with the least amount of clues.

I can't bring up the site using Opera. I get a box saying "Access to this port is disabled for security reasons". I used Opera to access it earlier and I haven't changed anything in setting. I can access it just fine with Netscape.

The link didn't run at all on my computer Evie - I have a firewall running - perhaps the port was blocked and the program just froze :( NT

"Congratulations, you stumped me! It certainly seemed that you were Bing Crosby from The Road Movies etc, but if you say you weren't, I guess I have to believe you. Not that I'm happy about it. In fact, you've ruined my whole day. But I'll get you next time!"

Too cool - when I tried Hitler, Rachel Green, Jack from Will & Grace, and Jeannie - but I got a very unsual question when trying for Marge Simpson................

You won this time, puny mortal! And I fail again. I guess my parents were right, I'll always be a failure. I guess it's time to start looking for a new job.

Well, there you have it, I was wrong again. I was positive that you were Lorn from Angel! But you are far too clever for a puny computer like me. Now you can go and tell everyone while I sit here and try to put the pieces of my crumbled existence back together.

At least there's a variety of winner messages....

You can help me with one thing, though. If you tell me who you were and give me a good yes/no question, then I'll be able to guess it right next time. Wouldn't that be nice? But please, try to pick a general question that would be answered "yes" for some characters and "no" for some others. For example, "Are you Monica's brother?" is a bad question, because the answer is "no" for many many characters and "yes" for very few.

This was the first time I beat the computer, although I must admit The Roy Rogers Show probably wasn't exactly a sit-com but I was getting desperate to win. LOL
