Besides the OS and video drivers, there are motherboard and other drivers to get it all ready. Tell more.

I just purchased a EVGA gtx 980 sc acx graphics card. I was going from a gtx 560 to this one (Don't know if that matters.) I also have a 800 watt PSU (Xtreme Gear Atx power supply.) I'm thinking this might be one of my issues, will explain later.
Anyways My computer had not been wiped in a while so I decided to do a factory reset. I factory reset my computer and installed my graphics card so that that would be the only graphic drivers on the computer. Everything was going great, I installed games that I wanted and wanted to test it out. I went into Battlefield 4 on ultra settings and my computer crashed. My monitor went black and i had no control. (Computer lights and everything else was still running.) I restarted the computer and tried running bf4 again. Same situation happened but with a green screen. I decided to start looking for solutions and most of the solutions were PSU wasn't enough, Or drivers were not up to date. I thought well it can't be psu cause i have plenty with a 800 watt and drivers are up to date.
Now the PSU, like stated before, is a Xtreme gear 800 watt ATX power supply. These come in CyberPower computers. I started looking up reviews and these things are pretty bad. This started making me think this is the problem, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I don't want to go out and buy another psu if there is something else causing the issue.
Another thing I saw was my idling temp of my CPU is around 52 degrees Celsius. I have a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X58A-OC Motherboard. And a Intel Core i7 CPU. My CPU is water cooled as well. I'm not sure if this could be another problem that I may be over heating?
Any help would be nice thanks,
Addison
