The .xpi extension indicates that it is an extension for the alternative browser Firefox (not IE). It's basically a plugin, not its own program. Thus, you can't just execute it, and Windows won't know what to do with it. What you have to do is launch Firefox, go File->Open File, and then browse for and open the file. The extension installer will then launch, letting you add the Grocery List Generator to Firefox's capabilities.

I'm running XP Pro and tried to download the new utility "Grocery List Generator". Windows didn't know what to do with the xpi extension and didn't come up with anything on a net search.
Can anyone help me load this utility onto my toolbar?
