Green Vertical Line on Samsung LN40C650

Nov 1, 2010 10:24AM PDT

I have a very weird issue.
On powering on my brand new Samsung LN40c650, I was seeing a green vertical line about 2-3 mm in width, 5 cm left to the center of the TV. After about 2 days of constant presence, the line just disappeared.

When the line was present, changing sources to Cable SD/HD and PS3 HDMI did not make any difference.

Could this green line have shown up due to some menu setting? I did play around with the display settings (while the green line was present) and then did a reset to default at a later point in time. Not sure if this made the line to disappear.

I am confused as to what I should I do. Should I call Samsung support? The store support guy tells me that Samsung TVs are not replaced and that he is instructed to direct customers to Samsung Support.

Appreciate any help or thoughts. Thanks.
