What is that green progress bar in the address bar?

This progress bar will show up sometimes when I open a folder.

Thanks

It's a new addition to Windows Explorer, though not Internet Explorer, giving you a visual representation of the progress without taking up additional screen real estate by adding to the Status Bar. Apple's Safari browser has been doing the same thing for webpages for quite some time.
