green light and nothing happens

when i turn on my desktop the green light comes on and stays on and nothing else happens,no noises beeps or fans starting,the light on the monitor stays yellow but it doesn't try to come on..

Any ideas whats wrong ?

The topic has been covered before and the answer lays in several replies. Just use the forum search engine to review possible fixes. Beware, you may need to attempt to replace the PSU and other tasks. Worse, you could have a truly "kaput system", since you provide no details on how your system came to this state.

It started with the windows loading screen taking a while to come on and after being switched off at the mains for a a few days when plugged back in and switched on at the front the green light comes on and stays lit but that's all that happens.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
