green/black vertical line on samsung lcd?

by kaozgamer / October 12, 2010 10:25 PM PDT

I got a 40" Samsung Series 6 LCD TV. My sister was just watching some tv and suddenly a green/black line appeared? Does this indicate a faulty panel? Any fix I can do?

Thanks

kaozgamer,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

If you're sure it's not a broadcast issue, and it happens on other inputs, you may need to have the unit inspected by an authorized technician.

hello,

This is not a broadcast issue and all other inputs display this error. However the lines have dissappeared and have been replaced by 3 big black spots. http://yfrog.com/6dphoto0093sj

I took this picture few hours ago and now the spots are much bigger.Dead Pixels?

kaozgamer,

I've not seen round spots like that on a panel before. If it's growing, I'd recommend calling a technician. Sorry, but there's no way to provide a diagnosis on that without being able to take a closer look.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
