Graphics problem

by bikerart / November 27, 2009 12:23 PM PST

The graphics on my PC are perfect until I open Mozilla or IE. My desktop looks normal but as soon as I double click either browser my screen goes black and then boots up the desktop again with a checkerboard kind of pattern and all the descriptions below the icons are highlighted in blue my lower tool has blue and green lines through it, the Start button has a kind of green wave with grey background. Pictures on the internet can barely be deciphered.

As soon as I close the browser my screen will black out and quikly come back to normal.

My guess as a novice in PC hardware is the Video card. It is a Radeon x300 series by Asus with a PCI bus. Tough to find one with PCI!! But how can it be good without the browser and not with the browser?

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
