Question

Graphics in Live Email

Aug 13, 2013 2:49AM PDT

When I add a graphic(s) to Windows Live Email there is a light grey line at the left side and bottom of the graphic. This happens when I download a graphic or scan a graphic/photo as well. I contacted the company I purchased the scanner from and they sent me a brand new and upgraded one after the discussion and subsequent emails to them. They too had not idea why this is happening to the graphics. And had no answers after the second contact to them about the problem still existing.

However, this line still continues on the left side and bottom of the graphic(s).

Some email receivers get the line in their copy of the email and some do not.

What is happening her and how do I correct it?

Thanks!

We would have to get everyone on the same email client. Maybe that's what the big companies want?

Thanks for the reply Bob!
yep, I certainly do believe that something is amiss with lots and lots of folks and businesses.
I don't understand when a program is working as expected and then the upgrades/updates chance the entire meaning and process of the software that is not necessary. I think it is change just to be changing because this makes them look good....to some!!
Thanks gain Bob!!

Thunderbird has reached a point where folk are asking why it's not being updated. The answer is not what folk expected. As in "nothing to fix."

The solution.

Make it a text e-mail (in stead of an html e-mail) and attach the graphic/picture in stead of embedding it.
Pictures in e-mails are a somewhat unstandardized thing.

Thanks for the reply.....However.
If I attach the graphic then the graphic is not in the window with the text. The graphic is in a separate location and the viewer has to "view the slideshow" which is just the graphic that I used.
Hope this is not confusing to you.
I really need the graphic/photo in the window with the text story/explanation, etc.
Thanks again though.

If you really need it and you do nothing obviously wrong, it's time to start looking for an e-mail program to send that mail. Two suggestions: Thunderbird (free), MS Outlook (not free).

You could even consider to dump WLM in favor of a better alternative.
